A DAY FOR CHILDREN

Last October 15,2009, the CKC affiliated by Child Fund Phil.(formerly CCF) had conducted an annual Children's Day Celebration in Municipal Park, Pili, Cam. Sur. It was participated by our 10 covered barangay children, parents, staff and some of the children and youth facilitators in which Lala and I were one of them.
Supposedly, I was one of the speakers of the said activity but I refused during that day because I don't have any materials on my hand ahead of time and I don't want to be embarrassed in front of many people so I decided to back out and I just chose to facilitate in the games.
Meanwhile, the children actively take part in the programs and in the games, too. The San Jose North E/S pupils led the doxology and the Phil. National Anthem. Afterwards, one of the officers in YA shared about the Rights of the Child and the 4 Gifts. Also, 2 other speakers tackled on the environmental concerns. Children played various games, ate their snacks, too. Then, they danced the Buttercup song. The most center of this program is the "Paper Aeroplane". The children wrote their wishes on the paper and folded it into an aeroplane. They sang "Disiplina..hindi Parusa" while they were flying their paper aeroplane facing to the Municipal hall. Afterwards, the participants and winners in slogan and poster making contest received a prize.
The activity was ended with a smile in their face.

CSSAc_the running band

It was last September 19, 2009 when we have participated the military parade during the peƱaframcia festival .It was really funny experience for the first time of the cssac band to have a marathon. Every time I remember that experience it made me laughed of course I feel ashamed since that moment we’ve run from Panganiban up to the Centro .We thought we could not anymore present but hopefully thank to God that we are able to finish up to last step.(hahahaha)it’s a very funny experience but it’ s such a mourning experience for all us especially to our band trainor ,Mr. Allan Roldan who made the greatest effort just for this competition .The months of sacrifices from memorizing the piece ,having an overnight practice every Saturday excluding its Tuesday and Thursday and repairing the uniform.Having sacrificed attending he class for the one week drill and those effort had not paid off.But only tears and sweats.

We felt that its also unfair into our part because we are th last one who had been ferry with the schoolbus in going to Naga.Because they had priotized the R.O.T.C and dust personel. So,they would first their alignmnent and formation. So we, the band as we arrived we immediately run fast as we could so we could able to have our formation ,unfortunately it's alteady near to it's finish line.(how sad and unfair it was)

An interview with God

I just want to share to you an excerpt from the interview with God .Actually Kuya Chadie ,a friend of mine sent it to me with a video but I don't know how to download it to the blog so I just searched for an excerpt to share also its message.
Hope you learn something from this excerpt and enjoy reading.

An Interview With God

WHAT SURPRISES YOU MOST ABOUT MANKIND?

That they get bored with being children, are in a rush to grow up, and then long to be children again.

That they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health.

That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live neither for the present nor the future.

That they live as if they will never die, and they die as if they had never lived.

IS THERE ANYTHING MANKIND STILL NEEDS TO LEARN?

To learn that they cannot make anyone love them. What they can do is to let themselves be loved.

To learn that it takes years to build trust, and a few seconds to destroy it.

To learn that what is most valuable is not what they have in their lives, but who they have in their lives.

To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others. There will be others better or worse than they are.

To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.

To learn that they should control their attitudes, otherwise their attitudes will control them.

To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in persons we love, and that it takes many years to heal them.

To learn to forgive by practising forgiveness.

To learn that there are persons that love them dearly, but simply do not know how to show their feelings.

To learn that money can buy everything but happiness.

To learn that while at times they may be entitled to be upset, that does not give them the right to upset those around them.

To learn that great dreams do not require great wings, but a landing gear to achieve.

To learn that true friends are scarce, he/she who has found one has found a true treasure.

To learn that it is not always enough that they be forgiven by others, but that they forgive themselves.

To learn that they are masters of what they keep to themselves and slaves of what they say.

To learn that happiness is a decision. They decide to be happy with what they are and have, or die from envy and jealousy of what they lack.

To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see something totally different.

To learn that those who are honest with themselves without considering the consequences go far in life.

To learn that even though they may think they have nothing to give, when a friend cries with them, they find the strength to ease the pain.

To learn that by trying to hold on to loved ones, they very quickly push them away; and by letting go of those whom they love, they will be side by side forever.

To learn that even though the word "love" has many different meanings, it loses value when it is overstated.

To learn that they shall reap what they plant; if they plant gossip they will harvest intrigues, if they plant love they will harvest happiness.

To learn that true happiness is not to achieve their goals but to learn to be satisfied with what they already achieved.

THE THREATENING CLASSWORK 2009

I woke up yesterday at around 7:00 in the morning. And I had realized that there will be a general classwork here in CSSAC. I felt lazy and I decided not to attend the said activity, but I am afraid to do so because of the approaching final examination and the respective personnel might not sign in my clearance, that is why I forced myself to attend and find out where my classmates are. But to my surprise, our section was not assigned in our Institute. I was expecting that we could only clean the surroundings of our Institute because that was we are actually doing every time there will be a classwork. And when I check the sketch, our section was assigned in the Organic Area. And we had almost spent an hour looking for that particular place. When we found where our classmates are,it was so shocking. We are assigned to clean around the rice field and as expected, it was full of mud.
Somebody gave us the respective areas wherein we have to clean and plant a tree afterward. I'd like to complain just like what other students doing but we are assigned there so we have to follow. Some students keep on telling that the assigned group of students there should be the BSA students. I do not react more about it and i did just clean and cut off the grasses.
Then suddenly I heard few students talking about my classmate Marites bitten by the SNAKE. I was so surprised and shocked of what I've heard. And I did just whisper that Marites will be okay and she will not be in danger. After of what I've heard I saw a friend of mine, Zilfa, her bloody left hand. Unfortunately, she got wounded in using her bolo.
It was really a threatening classwork/day for everybody. Accidents had happened and in the late afternoon, there was a rumor that Marites had passed away. When I received a text message from my classmate about it, I felt sad but within me, I still keep on believing that Tes was okay and I could see her today. I forced myself not to believe in those rumors and fortunately I received a message again from one of my classmates telling that Tes was okay and safe. From then, I've finally felf relieve from those anxieties.
Thank God!

falling of blessings

For the past few days there a lot of blessing I have received from God and that was an opportunity for me to share. First was the choir even I am not good in singing they invited me to join the group and be able to be trained. And if they were an invitation from some church , example is if they were celebration we will be the one to sing and it was Christian song. In the first I really find hard for me to cope with especially those my co-member was already a singer. I’m just praying that I could able to finish this training,(hehehhehe) Another one was the piano Lesson that had just been offered to me for free, and that was the thing I had been praying for a long time since it was my dream to be the keyboardist of our church. By God’s grace I was able to catch up all those things, the majors, minor chords and able to familiarize and by the end of these month I'm jsut waiting that our church would able to buy the keyboard for me to use.(Hahahaha) Just Looking forward.
I was very thankful for giving me this desire to learned and continuing to develop this talents I have.
With all those things I'm willing to share also for those who wants.(just approach and I'm willing to teach only those things I know)

SEMINAR-WORKSHOP

Last Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, the 3A and the 4A English Major Students got united to conduct a Seminar-Workshop on Creative Writing (sponsored by 4A)and Poetry Reading Concert/ Literary Performance (sponsored by 3A). We had invited some multi awardees to share their expertise on tigsik, poem, play and short story categories: Mrs. Aida Cirujales, Mr. Honesto Pesimo Jr., Mr. Carlos Arejola and Mr. H. Francisco Penones Jr. respectively. They talked about the basic elements of their literary genres, gave an example through their literary works and asked our output as well. There is an extrinsic motivation coming from them because from our output, they will choose the best work and then they will give the book which they are the authors themselves.
In the afternoon, 3:00,we, the BSE 3A students are in-charged of the program. We have had the poetry reading concert and the open mic. In the open mic, I was so happy because even if we didn't practice on Saturday and Sunday and we had only rehearsed for an hour or 2 last Monday afternoon, but still we made it! Everybody was amazed, shocked and surprised especially our classmates when we performed an Interpretative dance on Blowing in the Wind (except that Lala was laughing in the middle of our performance) and Buttercup. So sad that Ma'am Salamat wasn't there to witness our performance but it's okay because as I can see the enjoyment and smile, complements and appreciation of the audience, my heart leaps up that then. To my fellow dancers--- Ate Emz, Juds, Lala, Marites and Gen--congrats! Until next time...

HI-TECH

Many of the technologies today are what we call " hi-tech". High technology as what it means is very much dominated in the world. Because of these intelligent and experimental people, we have these hi-tech computers, cellphones and other more.
It is quite beneficial for mankind to have these such hi-tech materials. First, it can be used for communication. We can easily communicate to other people in abroad and we can easily get there feedback as well in just a short span of time. We can see our loved ones through cameras when we are chatting to them, too. Another is, it can be used for study purposes. We require little effort when browsing the net than browsing the books. However, there are also some disadvantages of having these items. One reason is, the attitudes of being industrious and perseverance is somewhat near to lose. Some people tend to be cool and relax. Some students when they have their assignment, they have just "copy-paste" the answer from the net and skips their meal just to load their cellphones.
In my point of view, it's good that we have "hi-tech" items nowadays because everything will become easy and we will not left behind if we are aware; but let us not forget the traditional way because if we don't have these things, we can't really achieve this modern technologies.
